Hans Kolbe, Chair
Mr. Kolbe is the managing partner for Celantra Systems. He has more than sixteen years experience in the design and implementation of financial, manufacturing, and distribution for U.S., European, and Asian corporations. He has developed a broad expertise in international legal and tax compliance for most European, many Asian, Latin American and Middle-East countries as well as the U.S. advising multi-national corporations on IT and ERP systems structure and implementation parameters. Over the last 8 years this has included Sarbanes-Oxley compliance assessments and improvements, especially regarding international subsidiaries and inter-company processes. Mr. Kolbe has developed multi-country and global implementation solutions for international companies from global high-tech manufacturers, consumer goods or chemical goods producers through service and consulting companies to large investment and banking firms. He combines a thorough understanding of business processes with a firm grasp of the accounting, manufacturing and legal perspectives. He is intimately familiar with the international and national requirements for global and regional accounting and financial reporting system, ERP and Supply Chain Management systems.
Mr. Kolbe has experience in program and project management for system implementation and global rollouts including data base conversions, custom programming, internal and external training and technical support organizations. He has an excellent knowledge of Oracle Applications in finance, manufacturing, logistic and CRM operations. Mr. Kolbe has actively participated in and managed the entire life cycle of large multi-national projects, including software and consulting pre-sales, scoping and proposal management, project planning and supervision, as well as implementation and post go-live management. In addition to Oracle applications, Mr. Kolbe has a working knowledge of other ERP Systems (SAP, Peoplesoft, and MfgPRO) and the integration issues between divergent ERP and corporate reporting systems.
Mr. Kolbe comes from a background of European legal training and practical experience in coordinating and integrating European and U.S. legal standards. He is a passionate cello player and loves sailing.
Thomas Simkiss, Co-Chair
Thomas Simkiss is currently the Vice-President of Consulting for Aces High Consulting, LLC, an Oracle Platinum partner based in Niwot, CO, overseeing a consulting staff of 75 functional and technical resources across the United States, thanks to a merger between Denovo and his former company, BizTech. While at BizTech, Thomas served as the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Office and Applications Practice Director at BizTech, a mid-Atlantic Oracle Partner based in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. While at BizTech, the Thomas over saw revenue growth in consulting of $8m in 2008 to $13m in 2014, while expanding both an onshore and offshore delivery team.
Thomas has 20 years Oracle Applications experience both as an end-user and implementer across many industries, including Telecom, Membership Organizations, Healthcare, Government, and Social Services. Thomas has had a wide range of roles both utilizing and implementing Oracle Financials, Supply Chain, Discoverer and Business Intelligence as a business analyst, team lead, and project manager. Thomas became an Oracle ACE in 2014 and is currently a member of the New Jersey State Society of Certified Public Accountants, and a member of the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bar Association.
Sangeeta Sameer is an IT Leader with General Electric (GE) . Currently, she is leading a global team at GE that is responsible for delivering new implementations as well as managing operations of existing financial applications. Sangeeta has implemented multiple full life cycle Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Projects for different GE businesses over the last 13 years. Prior to joining GE in 2002, Sangeeta worked for Oracle Consulting for 6 years, implementing Oracle Applications for diverse clients. In her current role at GE, she is leading the E-Business Suite (EBS) Release 12.2.4 Oracle Financials and Project Accounting implementation for GE Renewable Energy. This is a global implementation of more than 50 Oracle ERP applications including Financials, Distribution and Manufacturing, for US, Canada, Germany and Spain. In a previous role at GE, Sangeeta was the Design Team Leader for a multi-country Global implementation of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS). Sangeeta defined the Strategy and Approach for ERP deployment in more than 30 countries. She led the analysis of statutory and tax requirements and determined their fit to Oracle functionality, delivering multiple releases of Oracle EBS deployment spanning these countries.
Sangeeta has 20 years Oracle Applications experience both as part of an end user organization as well as an implementer organization. She has good Finance and Accounting Process knowledge, and has acquired a very good understanding of the issues and solutions related to multi-national organizations having worked on many global Oracle ERP Projects over the last 20 years. Sangeeta has an MBA in Finance from Tulane University, New Orleans, and a Bachelors degree in Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee, India. She lives in Niskayuna, NY.
With over 30 years’ experience in operational Finance and fifteen years leading Oracle EBS implementation and support within multi-national corporations, Dan brings a practical user’s perspective to solution design and delivery.
For Qualcomm, a Fortune 500 company, he led the ledger design and initiated a standardized footprint for implementation in a global rollout of Oracle, from a single ledger and 19 Operating Units in USD, to over 60 ledgers and 95 Operating Units in multiple currencies. He was the finance systems leader in several localizations and statutory ledger implementations, including India, Israel, Brazil, France and China. In addition to these implementations, he led his BPA team in an R12 upgrade, an HFM/CRM Consolidation project, AP Invoice imaging & approvals and many other business-critical process improvements. He focuses on efficient, standardized global design that minimizes customizations and implementation time, and maximizes shared service center efficiency and transactional integrity.
In his role at Celantra , he helps corporate management teams create inter-company transaction solutions that meet the requirements of both corporate and local country GAAP regulations and improve the speed and quality of transaction processing. His work with SOX automation tools and years of practical experience on the receiving end of internal and external audits ensure that a customer’s ERP solutions comply with SOX and Audit expectations and contribute to the reduction of the cost of compliance to corporations.
Dan provides Corporate Finance & IT teams with leadership in planning and implementing ERP solutions that focus on efficient transaction processing, statutory compliance and the reporting and analysis that management demands.
